Some Things You Ought To Know

1. I haven't "deal" grocery shopped in about a month. The primary reason being that it's a lot of work and I don't feel up for it. Plus, the though of most food makes me want to puke, so walking through the grocery store as quick as possible and just getting what Maddox needs to survive is about all I can muster. Man, I hope this morning sickness passes soon!

2. Our house is officially on the market and has had 4 lookers in 5 days. It's exhausting business, I'm telling you. But, my house is spotless pretty much all the time. I can be ready to walk out the door in less than 10 min. if necessary and have the house "show" ready. Some of you are probably wondering why we're selling our house. I'll give you an answer in a nut shell. 1) I hate yard work, we have a big yard. 2) our mortgage is high and we're not saving any money 3) we're trying to cut our expenses so that we can better be prepared for the future. So, we're selling our house and we're going to rent indefinitely and save, save, save. We're going to down size and I'm actually excited about it! Our house has always been too big for us and it just creates too much room for unnecessary clutter. So, until I can afford a house cleaner, a small house it shall be!

3. I'm 8 weeks pregnant!!! (I know you knew I was pregnant, but now you're reminded as to how far I've come) Yippee!!! Hopefully, less than 4 weeks and the morning sickness will be gone and I'll be feeling somewhat normal, except for the alien movements coming from my stomach area.

4. I must vacate the premises of my house tomorrow for 1 1/2 hours (we're having a Realtor open house), while feeling terribly crappy and keeping myself from puking and Maddox happy all at one time. Sheesh, that was exhausting just typing that. Maybe Target will make my heart sing.

Maddox Pretend Throwing up

Here's a short clip of what Maddox does when he pretend throws up.

Did You Know...

That vacuuming over your big toe can be quite painful and result in the loss of 1/2 of inch of toenail and cause bleeding?

I found that out the hard way today.

Good thing I shaved my toes yesterday, that would have been embarrassing to show this picture!

Sicky Morning Sickness

Sheesh

I woke up feeling fantastic this morning! At 10am that abruptly changed and I've hardly gotten off of the couch all day. I took a 3 hour nap this afternoon and it's been all I could do today to not throw up again. I've thrown up the last 3 days and it's not fun one tiny little bit.

I've managed to keep the house in okay shape, though. Just doing little things when I get a 5 min. burst of not feeling like I could puke.

Kyle's been totally awesome, helping out wherever I need and playing with Maddox and helping me satisfy all of my strange cravings.

I'm a terrible pregnant person because most food sounds totally nasty except for like one thing and that's the only thing that will satisfy my desire. It's not that I just prefer that one thing, it's literally the only thing I can stomach, anything else will make me dry heave.

I Can't Keep it in

Okay, I can't keep it in one more day. Not one single more day.

I know some of you know, but still a lot of you don't...

I'm 7 weeks pregnant.

I told myself that nobody but family and a few close friends were going to know until we were past the 12 weeks mark just in case something went wrong. But, I feel so stinkin' horrible right now that I feel like I can't be real on my blog unless you all know what I'm really going through. I've been terribly sick for 1 1/2 weeks now. Making it through last week with camp was a miracle in and of itself. This week it's way worse. I seriously want to just lay on the couch all day long because I'm so nauseas. I've puked 3 times in the last 5 days. Almost the same number of times I threw up the entire time I was pregnant with Maddox! I still have 6 more weeks until I'm past my 1st trimester, too! I'm really hoping it's a girl this time around since the pregnancy seems so different.

Any way, the cat's out of the bag now!

Surviving

I'm tired after a busy week of running back and forth between camp and home with my boy. Maddox was sick for 1 day with a fever, but recouped pretty quickly. He really did have a fun time with both Grandma's, but definitely enjoyed seeing me each evening for a bit of snuggle time. He's now very happy to have Daddy home!

We're taking today as a recoup day and tomorrow back into the swing of life!

A Week of Fun

My mom and grandma are here for the week while Kyle and I take 5 middle schoolers to camp. I'm staying home at night, but driving to camp each morning (it's about 20 min. away). Should be a fun week for everybody. Maddox knew that his Grandma had come to play with her and that's all he wanted to do last night. I have some pictures to post of our afternoon of fun on Saturday. Hopefully, I can get those up later today.

Not Good

2 blog posts in the entire month of July (10 days!). That's not good!

They started harvesting grass seed around these parts a week and a half ago and it is just killing me. I can't breathe out of my nose and when I swallow it plugs up both ears. Yes, it's fun. They also make me extremely tired, so I just feel like I could sleep all day long. Which, obviously, I can't do with a toddler running around.

My Little Ponies

I know I posted about this forever ago and never got around to doing anything about it until this week. I was really into My Little Ponies when I was little and I still had mine lying around from way back then. I noticed on Ebay that they're considered "vintage" and sell for some decent money. I put 4 of them up for sale last week and they closed yesterday for a total of $90. Get this, though. One of them alone, sold for $56.55!!! I know, crazy, huh?

Can you say "Shopping Spree"! LOL

I tried posting a picture of my $56.55 pony, but I couldn't get it to upload, sorry! Here's a link to my ebay listing, though.

Slacker

So, I've totally be a slacker at writing lately. Summer's here and we've been busy, but nothing too terribly exciting to write about.

Maddox is now 16 1/2 months old and is quite the boy. He loves being outside, so I'll open up the back door and he just comes in and out as he pleases. He also loves playing in water, so sometimes I'll turn on the hose for him and he'll just go to town. To be young and care-free!

I've been working on little projects here and there that need to be done around the house. I've been setting a goal of working on a project for 1 hour during Maddox's naptime. I was able to get the bathroom painted in just 2 1/2 hours! I couldn't believe how little time it took! Now, it's sparkly white from ceiling to baseboard. I decided to go with a white because of our lovely blue bathtub. I didn't want to attempt to match any color of paint to that.

All of our lighting fixtures in the house are brass colored, so I've been spray painting them silver because I'm too cheap to go buy all new replacement lights. I did buy a new white one for Maddox's room because his was UGLY and a coat of silver spray paint wouldn't have helped one bit.

I've also been diligently working at sorting through stuff and boxing up stuff that we don't need right now so it can be put in the garage (we have a terrible lack of storage) and making piles of stuff to get rid of. I don't know how on earth we've accumulated so much stuff in 4 years of marriage! It's unbelievable!

Kyle is playing on our mens church softball team so he's had 2 games a week, so Maddox and I have been tagging along to those when the games aren't too late. I get to go and chat with all the wives and chase after Maddox, it's great fun!

So, there's a completely boring update for you! I'll throw in a few pictures for you to enjoy!
